Well, I guess some of you have noticed that yesterday the site have not been working nearly whole day long.

That was yet another downtime from my old host (whose name I would keep in private). It was a good host, nenver had much problems with it, and downtimes were a rare thing.

My problem with them, however, is that once there is a down time, it takes at least half a day to bring the servers back, and that’s not acceptable at all.

Therefore, I’ve moved to a VPS – “Virtual Private Server”, or in other words, a server on which I have full control, without paying much money for a Dedicated server.

Weird-Shit.Net, along with many other of my site will from now be hosted with RapidVPS - probably the best cost effective VPS provider I have found.

I’m paying for 300GB bandwidth, 15GB disk space and 256MB RAM with cPanel only 45$ a month. And the support is one of the best support I’ve ever seen. They litterally answer any noob question I have within minutes, and if I need something installed, they will only be glad to help.

Anyway, I hope that with RapidVPS I will no longer have any downtimes, and you guys will be able to enjoy the funny and weird pics and videos without interruption!
